  68. This package contains the Windows 3.1 Screen Saver, Photo Show 3D
  69. (Version 1.xx), by Progressive Logic.  This document contains only a
  70. brief description of the package and its features, along with
  71. instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed documentation is
  72. included in the package, but it is in archived form, and is more easily
  73. read after installation.

  75. PHOTO SHOW 3D is a Windows 3.1 screen saver that maps a BMP or PCX image
  76. to the surface of a 3D object and tumbles it across the screen. It
  77. requires a 386 or better processor and a 256 color Windows video driver.
  78. Registration includes a copy of the latest registered version, JPEG image
  79. support, an assortment of sample image files and a sample Winzle, a great
  80. Windows image puzzle game by Cascoly Software.

  82. Photo Show 3D is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes
  83. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  84. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see the on-line help for more
  85. details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after
  86. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  87. REGISTER.TXT for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others
  88. (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a
  89. fee for their copying and distribution services, rather than a payment

  122. Thank you for choosing Photo Show 3D.

  124. Since there is an extensive online help that you may access from the
  125. configuration dialog, this file contains only the information needed to
  126. get you started.
  127.  
  128. You use Program Manager to install Photo Show 3D.  From the menu, select
  129. "File" and then "Run".  Next you type "x:PS3DINST" replacing x with the
  130. drive the floppy is in (usually A).  If you have downloaded PS3D from a
  131. BBS or an online service such as Compuserve it will probably be on your
  132. hard drive so you would then also include the name of the directory it
  133. is in.
  134.  
  135. If there are any problems, try running PS3DINST a second time just in
  136. case the target directory was entered incorrectly.  If there is still a
  137. problem, just make sure the files PS3D*.SCR, PS3D*.HLP, WIFX.DLL and
  138. CTL3DV2.DLL are located in the Windows directory and follow the
  139. instructions in the next paragraph to select PS3D as the active screen
  140. saver.

  142. After it's installed you must run Windows and use the Control Panel to
  143. select and configure Photo Show 3D.  To do this you must first run the
  144. Control Panel.  Usually it's in the Main group.  Then from the Control
  145. Panel you must run Desktop.  In the Desktop setup dialog you first
  146. select Photo Show 3D as the current screen saver and then click on the
  147. Setup button to bring up the Photo Show 3D Configuration Dialog. Last
  148. but not least, click on the Help button and you're on your way!

  150. The files PS3DINST.*, *.DOC, *.SDI and *.DIZ are no longer needed after
  151. the installation is complete and may be deleted.  The only files that
  152. are actually REQUIRED to run Photo Show 3D are PS3D*.SCR, PS3D*.HLP,
  153. WIFX.DLL and CTL3DV2.DLL, but please keep the *.TXT files also so that
  154. you may register PS3D or order more images to use with PS3D or your other
  155. favorite programs.
